Hi I'm Justin

I grew up in Maui. I'm a soon to be Occupational Therapist, a husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Aloha! I was born in raised on the beautiful island of Maui, but currently reside in Washington State with my lovely wife. I'm a graduate student working towards becoming an Occupational Therapist. I enjoy everything involving athletics and sports, particularly basketball and tennis, body boarding, running, weight lifting, any kind of outdoor activities, and spending time with my family. I also find joy in helping and serving others when given the opportunity, whether through the church or within the community. I'm grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to serve a mission in the country of Japan, which has taught me the meaning of selfless service and allowed me to meet and share with others the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was brought up and raised in the church, I never had a personal testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. It wasn't until I was serving as a missionary in Japan where I received a true witness, or testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon was true. I'm a Mormon because I have found the teachings of the church to be true. I'm a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ, His perfect example for me, and His gospel, which has given me strength, courage, and hope to face with faith the challenges I go through daily. Living as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I've come to know who I am, a child of a loving Heavenly Father who loves me enough to guide me in a very personal way through the teachings of His son Jesus Christ. Knowledge and a personal testimony of these teachings have blessed the not only my life, but also the lives of my family and friends.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith in everything that I do. The Church has taught me to be honest with those whom I associate with daily. As a student OT intern working with people who have experienced physical, mental, and emotional challenges, I try to understand who they are and what they are experiencing, and provide them with tools that will make life better for them. In church, I currently serve as the Executive Secretary to the Bishop in our ward. Daily I strive to find ways to touch the lives of those around me in a way that Christ would do. By striving to emulate His example, I know that I can be His hands in serving and loving those around me.
