Hi I'm Nicolas González

I was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to Utah in 1999. I'm married to the most wonderful woman and I have two sons.

About Me

I love to help people and I'm very close to my family. I enjoy hiking, camping and reading fun novels. I also enjoy cooking very much. I have a soft spot for music, but I have not been given the talent to play any musical instruments. I love spending time with my wife and my son playing, talking or simply watching TV.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church. My parents joined the Church in the 1970's. They were baptized in less than a week after meeting the missionaries for the first time. Both my father and mother have served in several callings in the Church throughout the years and they have been a great example of dedication and faith. When I was a teenager while attending seminary, I was able to obtain a strong testimony of the Church and the desire to go on a full-time mission grew immensely since then. While on my mission I obtained a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the restoration of the Church. Since then I have dedicated my life to serve others and to live the Gospel according to the dictates of my own consciousness. My wife and I were married in the temple where we were sealed for time and all eternity. As we have learned to know each other and decide how we are going to raise our children, we have come to the realization that because of the knowledge we have obtained from the Gospel, all of our trials and obstacles become bearable. I am a Mormon because I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and because I can understand it better as I live its principles.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in New York City in 2002. I love serving in the Church. I love learning from other members and personally see how the live the Gospel in their lives. I admire the leaders in the Church for their devotion and dedication to the Savior. I enjoy working with the youth, they are special spirits.
