Hi I'm Katherine Ann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired elementary school teacher. I taught first grade and was a math specialist for Kinder through fifth grade. I'm a mom and grandmother. Now that I'm retired, I take care of 2 of my grandchildren during the day. I love to read. My favorite genre is historical fiction.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My father's parents were some of the first converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Texas. My mother joined the church after being introduced to my father by a friend from church. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings peace to me, especially when my husband suddenly passed away. I was able to find solace in the truths restored to the earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith and my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation.

How I live my faith

My calling in the Leon Valley ward right now is the supervisor of the visits to the adult female members of our ward (congregation). I keep track of the monthly visits and help to see that all of our adult female members are taken care of: physically, emotionally and spiritually.
