Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Latter Day Saint.

About Me

I was born in London, England. I am married to my beautiful wife, Nana. We live in Singapore and I'm the Academic Head (English Programme) in a private school in Singapore. We both enjoy swimming, juggling, badminton, and watching the latest movies. I also enjoy photography, swimming, eating, and teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

From an early age, I did not know much about Jesus Christ except watching films at Christmas time. Many people in school regarded Christianity as something that would be laughed at or looked down on. Soon, I began to think this way also. It was at this time, my mother accepted to hear the message from the full-time missionaries. She knew almost instantly that what they said was true. She had been searching for a good church. In contrast, I had a very logical way of thinking and I became convinced this church is true, because I read about Joseph Smith and I also read the New Era Youth magazine. There were several times that I would read and feel a very strong emotion that God really loved us. My mother, sister and I joined the church at the same time.

How I live my faith

I served a full-time mission in Manchester, England. These were some of the best years of my life. I saw many people’s lives touched by the message of the gospel. I saw how the church leaders organized and carried out the work of God. On my mission, I saw countless situations where the Holy Spirit helped people come closer to Christ. This is something that I will never forget. The things that I learnt on my mission are still with me today. Those experiences help me to make righteous decisions. Today I have a wonderful relationship with my Heavenly father because he guides me and helps me understand more about important purposes in my life. The gospel brings simple, clear, and profound meaning to our lives. I know where I want to be. I know what I need to do. Although I sometimes fail at being the best I can, the gospel of Jesus Christ has always given me an opportunity to find my way home to God. In my relationship with my wife and friends , in my teaching career and my dealing with other people, I try to do the best I can to apply the principles I learnt from church. I share my feelings with my wife, so we can grow together. The gospel is every thing to me, because it is true. It gives me hope everyday to be a better husband, son, brother, person.
