Hi I'm Steven

I'm a husband, a programmer, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently work as a database administrator and computer programmer. I served a full-time mission in Belgium and the Netherlands. I enjoy singing and playing the piano and organ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But more importantly, I have a testimony for myself that it is the one true Church on earth today--the Church that teaches the pure doctrine of Jesus Christ. It is the Church with the priesthood authority to enable all of God's children to obtain salvation and eternal life.

How I live my faith

I do my best to study the word of God in the scriptures, to pray, to be an active contributor in my local Church congregation, and to serve my fellow human beings. I try to be a good example and encourage and help those I interact with.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

The law of tithing has been observed by followers of Jesus Christ even since Biblical times. Because of that precedent and because of modern revelation, members of the Church today donate 10% of their income to building up the kingdom of God. I pay tithing because I believe that since God has already given me everything, the least I can do is give something back to Him. Show more Show less
