Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon. Convert of 7 years.

About Me

Grew up going church with my family. In college, I attended several different churches. After having kids, I began to notice that I was lacking spiritual experiences and knew there had to be "more." For some reason I kept thinking of a video I saw as a child where John the Baptist yelling "repent", "repent", "repent" before he was killed. I was also reading spiritual books but nothing was changing. In short, I was not repenting. When I was referred to the missionaries and began meeting with them, I found what I didn't even know I was looking for. I can't imagine my life now without the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Our faith and/or religion cannot be convenient or tweaked to fit our own lives. I love being a Mormon because I believe it is the true church that Christ himself organized when on the earth.

How I live my faith

I love having the Holy Ghost as a companion. The church is all about service, starting with family at home and then others. There is no doubt that when we do so, we are following Christ's example. I also love teaching others about the restored gospel and our church.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

I never had a testimony of holy writ until I read the Book of Mormon. I've prayed about it and the Holy Ghost has confirmed it's truthfulness. It has brought me closer to Christ and expanded my love and admiration of the bible. Show more Show less
