Hi I'm Rosann

I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read and I like to learn. I earned a BS degree in home economics education before I was married and I continue to enjoy making our house a home. With help from my children I have learned to use the computer. I am grateful that when I have a question I can research for the answers online. I am a collector of quotes and thoughts, especially ones that encourage and motivate. I am researching to learn about my ancestors and their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my paternal grandparents and my maternal grandmother immigrated from Switzerland to the United States and to Utah after being taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My maternal grandfather immigrated from Germany to the United States, but didn't learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until he made business trip to Utah. He decided to stay and later accepted the Gospel. I raised as a member of the Church but I am a convert because I wanted to know for myself if the principles of the gospel that I had been taught all my life were true. As a young adult I studied and prayed and, as a result, received a witness of the truth of the gospel. It is my desire to share my testimony of Jesus Christ and the blessings of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I have a few special opportunities to serve as a member of the Church. In the Church of Jesus Christ we call each other "brother" or "sister". Each month another sister and I visit two or three sisters in their home where we share a short message but mainly visit and support each other and become friends. I have been asked to provide the service of sending announcements or information to members of our congregation using email on the computer. I feel this is a way to give service from my home. One evening a week my husband and I supervise teenage members and others in participating in baptisms for deceased persons in the temple. This experience is a special blessing for us to see strong young people give service to those who have not had the opportunities they enjoy.
