Hi I'm S. Myers

I was raised in New Plymouth, Idaho on a farm. I speak Spanish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to a wonderful woman for 49 years. Marriage is the best. We have 5 children. I am a retired State Farm Insurance Agent. I enjoyed helping people plan for the future. Currently my interests are gardening and traveling. I enjoy helping others and be as good a neighbor as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a super Momon family. My parents made sure I was at church when in my youth. They made sure that I participated in church meetings on Sunday and during the week whenever they were held. I grew up thinking that the church was God's true church but as I became a young adult, I realized I needed to have my own testimony of it's truthfulness and that I could no longer lean on my parent's testimony. I began to study about the need for a restoration of the original church that Jesus established with a prophet and apostles. I learned about the importance of having the proper priesthood authority to perform ordinances such as baptism by immersion and the receiving of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. I began to pray earnestly about the Joseph Smith story and received an answer that it was true so strongly that I could not deny it.

How I live my faith

I love the teachings of the church. The church is very family oriented. It helps me and my family strive to do what is right. I strive to be a good husband by serving my wife. I strive to be a good father by being available for our children. I strive to be a good grandfather to our 17 grandchildren by setting an example of righteousness for them. I strive to be helpful to our neighbors and serve them whenever possible. I feel that the Mormon faith is a great blessing in my life.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

S. Myers
Anyone can know that Mormonism is true. This is the process I recommend. (1) have a stong and sincere desire to find the complete truth about religion, (2) study the teachings of the church and study the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, (3) attend church meetings and activities and see how you feel, (4) pray earnestly for an answer about Momonism. I know that this works because this is how I found out the truth about Mormonism. I have investigated all the religions of the world enough to know that they all have good values, but I have found that Mormonism is the only church that is complete in every way. Show more Show less
