Hi I'm Dan

I have lived all over the US. I am happily married, with 5 daughters. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up we moved a lot. We settled in Wyoming when I was a teenager, where I fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. I am an avid photographer, wood worker and home re-modeler. I met my wife while in the Air Force, serving in Florida. We have five daughters who keep us busy. After the military, I finished my education at the University of South Florida with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I now work in manufacturing, helping plants to improve what they do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church in college. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about the things it teaches. The Spirit told me that the Book of Mormon is indeed the word of God, it testifies of Jesus Christ, it stands with the Bible, and it contains the fullness of the Gospel. I know that you can learn this for yourself if you will read it and pray to know of its truthfulness!

How I live my faith

I choose to walk with the Lord every day. I read my scriptures and pray for guidance. As a family we read together and talk about the things we learn. I try to live my beliefs every day, knowing that I may fall short at times. I also know that when I do all I can do the Lord will take care of the rest. With my family, I attend church on Sunday and participate in the many programs and activities of my Ward. I try to be of service to others, both in my church and in my community.

What is the Church's position on abortion?

Our Father in heaven loves everyone of his children. In order to progress, we must pass through this life. When a child is aborted, they lose the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ and learn the lessons that can only happen here. It is unfortunate that so many young women find themselves in the position of making this decision. There are so many families that want to adopt children, who cannot have children of their own. We believe that by giving these babies up for adoption, everyone can be blessed, everyone can find joy. Show more Show less
