Hi I'm Christian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Florida. I served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am attending college to become a nurse, and I work for a credit union. My hobbies include dancing, swimming, and technology.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandmother married a member of the church civilly, however, he did not attend church nor practice it’s teachings. During their brief marriage, she found a copy of “The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and began to read it. I do not know much of the book she read or at what point she came to know it was true. However, after a life time of attending different churches and seeking the truth her quest had came to an end. She found the truth she had been searching for. The Sunday after he moved out she attend a Mormon meeting, shortly there after she was baptized a member of the church. I started attending church regularly when I was fourteen. One day I began to read “Joseph Smith-History: Extracts from the History of Joseph Smith, the Prophet.” Joseph Smith recalls he read a scripture James 1:5 explained that “Never did any passage of scripture come with more power to the heart of man that this did at this time to mine. It seemed to enter with great force into every feeling of my heart.” This scripture and influence lead him to ask of God to know the truth. As I was reading that glorious account that The Father and the Son appeared to boy prophet Joseph Smith. I know with all assurance what Joseph said was true. For when I read His account I can exclaim “Never did any passage of scripture come with more power to [my] heart that this did at this time to mine.” I testify that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw in a grove of trees and it happened just as Joseph said it did. He in all reality saw a light, and in that light two Personages, and they did speak to him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I have not seen him face to face, but I have felt the comforting and sustaining power of His Spirit. Through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel and prayer I feel Him sealing me His. As I reach out for Him I feel Him reaching for me and that is how I know He is there.

How I live my faith
