Hi I'm Karen Jean-Marie

About Me

Bonjour, I'm a girl who loves to be inspired! I love traveling, languages, music, reading, writing, and basically anything else you can think of! I LOVE the gospel and I've been so blessed by my father in heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel of God. My childhood was kind of difficult in the church and I didn't feel as though belonged. I had a best friend who was really close to me leave the church, and eventually her ideas started to get in my head. I kind of lost my identity. I move away from home. It was nice not to be surrounded by all my friends thoughts and ideas, and to gain some of my own. I quickly discovered the mistake I had made while I was out there. Leaving the church was one of the best and worst decisions I ever made. The best, because now I'm converted to the gospel. Truly converted. I love God with all my heart. It was the worst, though, because that time period in my life was the most depressing time in my life. God is REAL, and he helps to keep life in balance.

How I live my faith

I have a calling in the Activities committee. I frequently go to the temple (the house of the Lord) to do temple work. I read lots of works by prophets, etc.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Karen Jean-Marie
Our prophet is a wonderful man.I have met one of his apostles, and the spirit around them is incredible. These are peaceful men who truly care about everyone. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Karen Jean-Marie
The temples are used as God's house. We do work for the dead. It might sound a little bit strange to do work for the dead, and I've heard some say that it means that they have no choice, but I believe that it does. It gives you the choice in heaven to accept or reject the Lord's gospel. Temples are also used to help bring peace to those worthy souls, solace and peace. It is easier to hear the words of God here.
