Hi I'm Tammy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a homeschooling mom of four children. My children are special to me, I really enjoy my family and love them dearly. I enjoy teaching and have done so for most of my life in various ways for example; student teacher in college, preschool teacher, Sunday School to teens and currently teaching Primary children. I love animals of all sorts. Have raised milk goats. Currently, I only have two cats. I enjoy gardening, especially herbs, and am getting into heirloom vegetables. I love being in the outdoors whether camping, hiking, yard care, shoveling snow etc.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I always had questions. I had been baptized as an infant in the Catholic church. My mother had converted from Lutheran to Catholic when she married my father. We never really went to church. In my teens I started visiting other churches. As an adult I had met missionaries that were living in an apartment complex where I lived in Arizona. I really tried to talk to the Catholic church and asked questions but they themselves were unable to understand. My brother was converted as an adult into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and would talk with me about the teachings. A few years later I met members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I lived in Minnesota. I had invited the missionaries to visit and I in turn asked them the questions I had asked all my life. These missionaries were able to answer my questions and point me in the direction of learning more. I took the discussions the missionaries had and my life was complete. I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have a testimony to the truthfulness of the gospel and that we have a living prophet on the earth today to lead us and guide us as Heavenly Father would have us live.

How I live my faith

Following the Lord's prophet is the best way I know to live the gospel. Attending church every Sunday. My calling in the church has been to teach children between the ages of 18 months to 17 years old for the past 22 years about the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Old Testament, New Testament and Book of Mormon. I visit with other members and help them in any way I can as well as any other people I see in need. I talk of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to others so they might know and answer any questions that are asked.
