Hi I'm Daniel

I love life, I love family, I love work and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a family of 11 children. Our family is very close together because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm going to college as a Accounting Major and then will attend Law School. I enjoy being with my family, cooking, helping others, working with computers and working hard. My goal in life is to help others want to become better people and to help them act on that desire.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised Mormon all of my life, but there comes a time in everyones life when they decide for themself what is right for them. For me I found my answer through prayer and reading the scriptures. When praying specifically ask for an answer. I asked specifically if the Book of Mormon is true, if there is a prophet today, if God loves me, personal questions. I recieved an answer, it wasn't a voice, someone verbally saying it, it was the feelings I had in my heart and the thoughts that came to me in my head. Feelings of comfort, love and peace. I know that this church is true and if you pray to God for an answer, he will respond to you. Try it.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving in Geneva, Switzerland as a missionary. Each day I strive to live what we teach. As a missionary, we do service for others as well as teach others about Christ. Before going on my mission I was a "home teacher," in our church home teachers are assigned to visit a few families of the church to make sure everything is well with them and their family also to help them if they need help. We have church events all the time to bring each other together and lift each other up! Life is great!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A "testimony" is simply the things that you have come to know through prayer with God and experiences you have had in life. Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Just like in other churches how there are congregations, it's the same in our church. We are organized into branches (smaller congregations, but pretty much the same as wards) or wards, which are just the place where the congregation meets. A stake is made up of a group of wards/branches. This is for organizational needs. Where ever you go a Mormon Church will be the same in organization and in things taught. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, although it is encouraged for all young men to serve missions, it is not a requirement. It is your choice to serve a mission. The blessings you recieve from serving a mission are incredible. It makes you become the best you can possibly become and teaches you life long habits as a Disciple of Christ Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only way to recieve a knowledge of this church is by reading the Book of Mormon and asking God sincerely if it is true. If you have faith He will answer you're question, He will answer it. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is so important to Mormons because we believe that " Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." We believe famlies can be together forever and it's important to build our relationships with them. Show more Show less
