Hi I'm Adam
When I have free time I like to bike around town, play sports with friends, and bowl. I made a shift in where I was living after graduating High School. Leaving behind friends, places I knew well and situations that presented problems in my life. The new town allowed me to find a new start to a life. It has been good as of now.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a convert. I found the Church through a great friend of mine. I was looking for something to complete myself and when I read Moroni 10:5,"and by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things", I felt whole. This scripture along with pray helped me to know that my HEavenly Father cared enough to put certain people around me to get to know. I began learning about the Church in early 2005 and was baptized 1 week before Christmas, which was the best gift I could have asked for. My testimony is simple; Christ lives, he guides and leads each of us but does not drag us along the way he wants us to follow. He merely suggests and lets us choose if we want to listen. The Book of Mormon is the true word of God. It is more prophets stating the same thing as those of the Bible. Our Heavenly Father wants us to join him again in Heaven. He wants us to live as healthy, happy and long as we can. The Hymns that are sung praise Him and bring returned happiness to our lives. Christ is my friend, brother and Savior. I say these things in his name, even Jesus Christ, Amen.
What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?
The biggest blessing that has come from my faith in Jesus Christ is the joy and happiness of a constant friend. He is always with me to help me when I am falling.
How has attending Church services helped you?
Attending Church services has helped me to feel of the Spirit more in my life. I get to hear from friends and other members which in turn builds my testimony of the Gospel.
Could you talk about your baptism?
My baptism was awesome. I had a great friend sing a beautiful hymn and one of my best friends baptized me. The Spirit that was present overflowed from the room. I could not have asked for a more perfect day. It was exactly 1 week before Christmas, so that was the only gift that I cared about. I will never forget that day.
How I live my faith
I am someone who, if I have the time, I can be called to help out with food drives, moves and other services around town supported by my ward. I have been a part of different groups in my ward that have planned activities for the people in our ward and in conjunction with other wards in the area. We play games, have BBQs, pool parties, sports, etc that allow all of us and our friends to get to know each other and have fun. I meet new people all the time and get to know my friends even better.
