Hi I'm Margo

I am a married mother of 4 kids, I am a nursing school student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to a wonderful man for 20 years. We have 4 beautiful kids, two boys and two girls. Being a mom is the best thing I have ever done. I was a stay at home mom for 16 years. Two years ago when my youngest started school and i went back to school to become a nurse. I will be starting the nursing program in a few months. I love my job working for my best friend catering weddings. I enjoy scrapbook when I have time.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a difficult childhood involving abuse and neglect. I was adopted when I was 12 years old by my great Aunt. This is where I was introduced to the gospel. The moment I walked into primary I knew it was the best place I had ever been. It wasn't until I was 16 that I truely had become converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I had always suffered from a low self image and going to church and learning about the Atonement was the what helped me realize my true worth. I realized that even though bad things had happened to me I could be happy and feel loved because I knew that God loved me. I began to understand that God cannot stop all the bad on earth from happening because we each have so much we can learn from the bad things that happen to us and the people we love.

How I live my faith

I am currently the secretary for the woman's organization in my church called the Relief Society. I help the president and her 2 councelors organize events and service opportunities. We are over 9 wards or groups of woman numbering about 1200 woman. Recently we organized a free womans conference where we had 18 amazing classes offered. Our theme was Live to Love to Learn. We estimate that 380-400 woman came to our conference. Some of the classes we offered were Simple supper ideas, Feasting Upon the Word (Scriptures), Manners Matter and Let's Talk (communicating with teens). We had yummy sack lunches for everyone. We tied 203 fleece blankets that we donated to various non-profit organizations. Today at church in my ward Relief Society a clip board was sent around to sign up to visit and elderly woman in my neighborhood that is recently home bound. I had the opportunity to pick any day of the week 10-11 or 2-3 which helps lower the families cost of a home health nurse while we are there. We take care of eachother and our neighbors.
