Ashlee: art, museum, family, friends, travel, service, Mormon.

Hi I'm Ashlee

About Me

I am the curator of an art museum. I love the arts, of course, and traveling, seeing new places, and being outdoors. But, most important to me are people - my wonderful family and friends, especially my crew of amazing and adorable nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have tested out its teachings, lived by its commandments and I have absolutely no doubt that they come from God and that they are the truth. The Gospel has given me answers and guidance for every situation and every adversity that I have yet faced in life, and peace and hope for the future.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

I read in the Book of Mormon daily. As I have studied it, I have learned more about the purpose for my life and how I can gain lasting joy. I have found that studying the narratives and doctrines in that book and applying them to my own life situations, my challenges and questions, gives me guidance, strength and hope. More importantly, the Book of Mormon has helped me come to know Jesus Christ more fully as I studied about Him in the Book of Mormon and am inspired to be better because of it.

How I live my faith

Right now, I serve as a leader in the local women's organization for the Church. Our main desire is to make sure that the women in our church unit are being cared for spiritually, emotionally and even temporally. We teach each other the principles of the Gospel and build meaningful friendships so that we can support one another. We visit sisters one-on-one and create opportunities for fun activities and service also. I also am involved in service in the community. I feel that if we follow Christ, we should be on the look-out for those who may be in need of our help. The smallest act of service can make a big impact. You never know who needs help but the Lord always does. In my little neighborhood, I there are widows, single mothers and other women who I help with small day-to-day occurrences. There is no better feeling than knowing that you can help someone else who might be in need.
