Hi I'm B. Cook

I'm a Mormon, and I would love for you to learn more about our church and church members here on mormon.org, and at lds.org.

About Me

My life is centered around my children, and the Church. Being a single dad of four beautiful girls, the church and my faith have kept me on the right road, a better father, and a better person. I am a truck driver in the Northwest region of the United States. I love attending the Temple. I have four beautiful daughters, the oldest is an excellent piano player. My five year old is in gymnastics and can do four standing back hand springs in a row. My seven year old is the most snuggly kid ever, and the youngest is just so sweet, she is constantly wanting kisses.

Why I am a Mormon

As soon as I read the first vision of Joseph Smith, I knew that the church was true. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, so I knew that there has to be prophets on the Earth today. God would not let his children suffer, and wander alone without constant companionship, and guidance.

How I live my faith

During the course of a typical work day, I will read the scriptures and pray while unloading my product. I pray for the people that I meet during the course of my work. I try to love everyone I come in contact with. What gives me great joy is when I complete my home teaching. Home teaching is when two male members of the church visit an assigned family at least once a month, and see if their spiritual and temporal needs are being fulfilled. If there is anything that needs to be done, it is the home teachers responsibility to complete that task or arrange for someone else to do it.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

B. Cook
No we do not practice polygamy, we have been commanded not to practice this. The organizations that practice polygamy go against what the prophets tell us, and they go against the laws of the land. We are commanded to follow the laws of the land.  Show more Show less
