Hi I'm Bart

I am from Minnesota. I love Sports. I am a son, a brother, a friend, and a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of a little girl and a soon to be proud father of another little one. My wife and I met in college and got married while we were both finishing up undergrad. I am now a graduate student attending chiropractic school. I graduated BYU-Idaho with a degree in exercise physiology. I am the youngest of 3. I love to play hockey, baseball, basketball, and football. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my friends. My favorite time of year is the Holidays where i can be with my loved ones. I

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up understanding the principles of the gospel but not really knowing for myself that they were true. It wasn't until I took to serious reflection and prayer that i gained a strong witness from the Holy Ghost that they are true. I know that the Holy Ghost is real and that our Father and Heaven wouldn't lead me astray. As I was ready to act upon the things the Spirit whispered to me, that is when i felt the promptings of the Spirit confirm to me that Jesus Christ lives, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet, the Book of Mormon was the word of God, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church once again on the earth. I know what I felt and still feel today. I know the Lord loves us and wants us to be happy. As I live the teachings of Christ found in the Bible and Book of Mormon I feel at peace and a sense of purpose swells in my heart telling me that I can face the struggles of School and life with confidence because I know Where I came from, Why i am here, and What lays in store for me in the Eternities. I know that that is all made possible through my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite "lines" I try to live by is "The little things are the Big things." I try to make sure that I am doing the so-called "little things" such as read out of the scriptures each day, say prayers morning and night, serve my family and others around me, and live a life that is in harmony of the saviors teachings. I served a 2 year mission in Houston, TX.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Jesus Christ himself was baptized. He walked all the way to Jordan to be Baptized by John because John had the Authority, from God, to Baptize. That same authority has again been Restored to the Earth and is found only in The Church of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No. Every young man at the age of 19 who is able and has lived his life in harmony with the teachings of the Gospel has been asked by the Lord and His representatives to Serve a 2 year mission. Young Women at the age of 21 have the option to serve an 18 month mission but every Young Woman hasn't been asked to serve like the Young men. Show more Show less
