Hi I'm Rohan

I love spending time with my family and gourmet cooking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and a father of two teenagers. I love spending time with my family, gourmet cooking, playing the piano and tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up as a Mormon. I had Mormon friends all through school and one of them gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon when I was in college. I started attending Church and read the entire Book. I loved how I felt when I read it and I decided to ask God whether or not it was of Him and whether or not I should join the Church. In a powerful and unmistakable answer to my prayer, I received a witness that the Book of Mormon is scripture and that I should be baptized. I joined the church as a sophomore in College and then a year later seved as a Mormon missionary in Virginia to help others learn about the Savior's teachings too.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Church as a counselor to the leader of our congregation, the Bishop. I also work with the Sunday School, the Music and the Children's organizations. I love going to Church each Sunday and feeling the wonderful Spirit that is there. It helps give me strength for the upcoming week.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Absolutely we do! In fact in Sunday School we devote two full years to studying the Bible; one year for the Old Testament and another for the New Testament. The Bible is a record of God's dealings with those in the Old World while the Book of Mormon is a record of God's dealings with those in the New. The Bible and the Book of Mormon go hand in hand to help us understand God's plan for us in a very clear way. Personally, I love the Four Gospels in the New Testament because there are so many of Jesus Christ's direct words and teachings there. Show more Show less
