Hi I'm Haylee

I was born and raised in Texas. I love to learn and to create. I speak Chinese. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Haylee. I love, love life. I love my family. I love God. I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Taiwan. I've love the people and the culture and the language of the Taiwanese people. Before coming on a mission I was pursing a degree in art. I love everything to do with the process of creation whether it be a good meal, or painting, or anything. I'm a food fanatic and I love to try new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my beliefs have changed me and blessed me and made me better. They've made the lives of the people around me better too. When my parents got married they had a rough time. After a while they both decided they needed to change. They decided to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in their lives and their marriage got better. Because of this decision, Christ's atonement has a huge impact in our lives. Because of my parents decision to follow His teachings, our family has been blessed with an overflowing measure of love and happiness when we are together. Their marriage and our families happiness is a pattern I hope to repeat in my life. I too feel the desire to change every time I read the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. The words of these books have helped me understand what is really most important in life and how to be less selfish. I also know, I feel so assuredly that God hears me every time I pray. I literally can feel of His love. Lastly the words of modern day prophets seem to speak to my very core. As with the words of the scriptures, their teachings inspire and bless and help me want to be and know how to be more like Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission in Taiwan!!!! I love it! It's hard and wonderful. Everyday we ride on our bikes to go meet with people and teach them about Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. We talk to people on the street riding here and there, on the trains, in their houses, at restaurants and just about anywhere where someone will listen. I do this because I know it's true. The blessings are real.
