Hi I'm Marcia

I grew up in the small town of Arco in the state of Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of six children. My husband, children and grandchildren bring me great joy! I work in the temple as Secretary to the President. I love my job because I work in a spiritual atmosphere every day and rub shoulders with good people of the earth. I enjoy attending a session in the temple at least once a week. It brings me great joy to do the work for deceased ancestors who cannot do the work for themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and baptized a member at 8 years of age. I have always had a testimony of the truthfulness of the church. My parents took me to church each week and made sure I went to the children's meetings when I was young. I also attended the youth meetings when I was old enough. My father held many leadership positions as I was growing up and was a great example to me. I married in the temple and my husband and I have reared our children in the church as well. We have found great peace and comfort in the teachings of the church as well as guidance and direction in our lives.

How I live my faith

I enjoy doing genealogy and try to index family names every day. I love the gospel and find great peace and comfort from it. I read the scriptures daily which give me guidance and direction in my life. Although the world is in a turmoil, I feel peace because I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I try to follow the prophet and serve others daily. I serve in the church as a pianist and also as a visiting teacher, a home teacher with my husband and a music advisor for teachers of young children

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I believe that because we were married in the temple, my husband and I can be together forever with each other and our children if we live the covenants we have made with our Heavenly Father. This belief has brought great peace to our family in the midst of ever-increasing chaos in the world. Show more Show less
