Hi I'm Alexis

I'm a mom of 3 children 3 and under. I love to blog, take pictures, and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just got married in November of 2009 and my husband is still in school. I just got a full time job and am enjoying being done with school. I lived in Southern California until I was 18 and moved to Utah for school and my family moved up here too. I enjoy outdoor activites, sports, going to the beach, being with family and friends, scrapbooking, and dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church from the time I was born and continue to be an active Mormon. My mom is a convert to the church and joined at 19 years old. My dad was a Mormon his whole life and they were married in a temple. I too was married in a temple and enjoy the blessings I receive from attending temples often with my husband. I'm a Mormon because I know the gospel is true. I have known this from my adolesence and have had mutliple experiences and confirmation that the work of God is done by this church. I love the feelings I have at church, when I follow God's commandments, and when I do His will. I love living life and the happiness I have daily, all because I know who I am and why I am here and together, my husband and I can raise our family with confidence that we will all be together forever.

How I live my faith

I just moved into a new ward so my husband and I don't have callings yet. We were ward missionaries in our last ward. In this calling, we talked to people who are no longer attending church and helped bring them back. I have also worked with the youth as an Especially For Youth Counselor - a program where youth from all over the country and sometimes the world, come together to learn more about the gospel, meet others like themselves, and participate in fun and spiritual experiences.

Are Mormons Christians?

Alexis
Yes we are. A Christian is anyone who believes in Christ, follows His teachings, and strives to be more like him. That's exactly why Mormons are Christians and why we have His name in the name of our church - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We go to church, a temple, and read the Bible and Book of Mormon all to learn more about Christ and how we can be more like Him. We pray in His name to our Heavenly Father and know that he atoned for our sins so that we can return to our Heavenly Father when our life on earth is finished. We teach our children of Christ and many Mormons will have a picture of him in our homes to remind us of Christ. So are Mormons Christian? Of course we are! Show more Show less
