Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon. i grew up in Idaho and Utah and i am a convert.

About Me

i am a college student. i love to read lds romance novels, do cross-stitch and hang out with my family and friends. My family and friends are the world to me and i am happy when my friends and family are happy. i attend an LDS institute at when i am not at in college. i love the church and it has blessed me more then i recognize.

Why I am a Mormon

when i was 9 and a 1/2 i started asking questions about the Church because i had attended a few meetings with my fathers side since they are members. Soon after that my mom, sister, brother, and i started taking the missionary lessons. we were baptized almost 10 years ago now. these past ten years have been the best in my life. i love the gospel and i cant image my life without the Savior and my knowledge of his plan of happiness. i know that the Savior Jesus Christ died for each and everyone of us. He died so that we can return to his presence someday. i know that i can repent each and every time i make a mistake. i know that the Savior visited the America's and showed himself to the Lamanites and Nephites. i know the Book of Mormon is true and that the doctrine within is meant for our day as well as the time it was written.

How I live my faith

i go to church each week and i am part of my ward choir and i go to my stake singles ward and attend ward prayer, and ward FHE (family home evening) each monday night. i go to ward game night when i am not working. i am the ward bulletin specialist and i keep the calendar updated for the ward and keep track of activities to let others in the ward know what is going on for the month.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

you must be a worthy member to enter the temple. we preform sacred ordinances for those that have passed on and by doing so we give those who have died a opportunity to partake of the true church of Christ. what goes on in the temple is not secret but sacred. When you have a spiritual experience you dont want to go announcing it to the world because it touches your heart. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

absolutely not. we are always trying to help others as much as we can. we believe in serving those around us and we can do this more effectively by getting to know people in our neighborhood, in our classes at school, and helping them through life. Life can become rough and i want to be there to help my friends, non-member and member both. Show more Show less
