Hi I'm Watkins

I live in Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a short little guy who hates being told what to do. I love God, my family, my country, liberty, and life itself. I believe it is important in life that we treat others not just the way we would want to be treated, but the way they would want to be treated; for example I am very complimented when someone tells me I'm manly, I don't think my sister would like hearing that as much. My favorite genre of scripture is the New Testament, particularly the four gospels, and I think that's about all there is to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the influence that the Holy Ghost has had on my life. When the Holy Ghost speaks to you it's not an emotion at all, it's more of a sensation, it's this warm and comfortable feeling in your bosom, or a still small voice that you hear that will give you direction in life, most particularly in spiritual matters. The Holy Ghost has helped me avoid blunders from time to time, but mostly he just encourages me in my decisions; he is my most trusted source of information, and my closest ally in life, I don't know what I would do without him, and I would never make it home to my Father In Heaven without his influence and inspiration.

How I live my faith

I believe that the spirit, like the body, needs daily nourishment, and that is how I live my faith, by living it each and every day. I like to pray to the Lord each morning and each night, it's hard for me to remember to pray in the mornings, so I have a sign on the inside of my bedroom door that in big bold words says PRAY. I always see that before I leave my room in the morning, and it helps me to remember to pray each day. I also make it a point to set aside an hour each night before bed to read from the holy scriptures, this hour is very imortant to me, and no matter how tired I am I NEVER skip my daily scripture studies.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We all need the savior because none of us are perfect, and none of us can return to heaven without the help of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead, the Godhead is very similar to the trinity, only instead of being three and yet one(like a three-leaf-clover); they are actually three seperate entities, which are: God the father, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is a spirit; and so he can be in more than one place at once. He acts as a direct representative of God,(whom we believe has a body) in making the will of God known to those who are blessed enough to feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
