Hi I'm Michael

I was raised in a foster home. I have 5 daughters. I am a lighting professional. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents divorced when I was still an infant. Eventually, I ended up in the home of a church member. He and his wife raised my sister and I as foster children. Nothing has ever been more important to me than having my own family and insuring that my children always had their mother and father. My wife and I are in our 13th year of marriage. We have five lovely daughters and a wonderful family life. We keep our marriage healthy by living our lives centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 17 years old, I decided to leave the home of my foster parents and experience life without their influence and directions. By the end of my senior year in high school I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. I allowed myself to abandon the standards that I had been taught growing up and after four years I found myself feeling lost and without direction. I decided to try and go back to church. It was difficult and I felt out of place. I decided to read the Book of Mormon for the first time on my own and it changed my life. The teachings in the Book of Mormon helped me to understand my purpose on earth and the role that Jesus Christ played in my life. I decided to serve a mission and was called to the Quetzaltenango Guatemala Mission. As I shared my testimony with others, it grew stronger. When I am living the gospel of Jesus Christ and fully participating in the opportunities to serve that are provided to me as a member of the church, I find true happiness and joy in this life. The Church helps me be a loving husband and devoted father. It is difficult to define who I am, without first explaining what it means to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love visiting the homes of other church members and helping where I can. I have been blessed with many talents and I love using them to bless others. I also work very hard to teach my daughters the plan of salvation and trying to help them gain a personal knowledge and testimony of their Savior, Jesus Christ.
