Hi I'm Paul

About Me

I am an Art Teacher. I believe the Lord wants us all to be life long learners so I will always see myself as a student also.

Why I am a Mormon

I have received the witness of the Holy Ghost that God lives and he loves me - one of his many children. I received this witness because as a teenager I followed the council of an anciet American Prophet named Moroni: "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." Moroni 10:4-5 It was this positive answer that I received that has made me into the follower of Christ I am today.

How I live my faith

Every day I have opportunities to tell my children how I feel about God and his son Jesus Christ and what they mean to me, and because of this- every day I have the chance to evaluate and (hopefully) better understand how God and Jesus Christ have helped me change my life for the better. I work with our local Cub Scout Troop as the Wolf Den Leader, and every Wednesday I get to share my excitment about learning new things with these wonderful 8 year old boys.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Paul
We believe that Jesus Christ is our older brother. I love this doctrine, as on this earth I am my parents only son (I do have 2 older sisters) so I like the idea of having an older brother to look up to. We believe that Jesus Christ was chosen by our Father to come to the Earth in order to create a way for all of us to overcome sin and death. It speaks to my heart that I have an older brother that cares for me enough to agree to live a mortal life, and suffer the pains of my sins, so that I may one day see our Father again. We believe that Jesus Christ was the firstborn of Gods children. We believe that Jesus Christ suffered in Gethsemane for the sins of the world and he died on the cross for mankind. Furthurmore, we believe that Jesus Christ rose from the grave on the 3rd day to overcome death so that we too may be resurrected, and to show us the way back to God if we choose to believe and follow him.
