Hi I'm Melissa Aimee

I'm 36, I'm a Hollywood Nut! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in the middle of some big changes in my life. I'm going through things I NEVER thought I'd go through. I love being a mom. My daughter is the center of my world! I love doing paper crafts, crafting over all and scrapbooking. I love reality t.v.! even though sometimes it is far from it! I have a great group of friends. We like getting together as much as possible finding fun things to do, like watching So You Think You Can Dance! We have even been to a couple of the tours. I love movies. I am often teased by friends and family because I really do love Hollywood and celebrities in general. I served a mission in upstate New York in '97-'98 and loved it! It was a great learning and growing experience for me. I love learning, and I love to curl up with an amazing story!

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't grow up in a very spiritually based home, in fact when I left to serve a mission I was coming out of a really rough time in my life and in many ways I had nowhere else to go, I went through A LOT of growing pains and at times they felt so unbearable I didn't know how I would get through them, But I learned to lean on the Savior and my Father in Heaven and I learned more about the gospel on my misson than at any other time of my life. It was an amazing experience. I did not appreciate it as much at the time as I do now. I love this gospel, I know it's true. I love and appreciate my Savior and all that he has sacrificed for me, I take great comfort in the fact that when I am hurting I know he's there for me. I love and appreciate President Thomas S. Monson, and thee other men and women that lead this church, I know he is the prophet. I love reading the Church magazines every month and finding the comfort and guidance I need. I love the Book Of Mormon, I just got done reading it again and I am amazed at the similarities of the people all of those many years ago compared to us. We have the same struggles. I am comforted by the fact that I can learn so many lessons every time I read the scriptures, and I pick up different things each time. I love going to church on Sundays seeing friends and getting that "spiritual Refill" that I need to get me through the week. I don't love trials but I know that through those trials I am becoming a better, stronger person. I am so gratful for my cute little family. I love my husband and appreciate all the hard work he does for our family. I love spending time with my little girl and watching her grow and learn everyday. I feel very lucky to be able to stay at home and take care of my house and my daughter. Being a Mother is precious to me, she is our miracle and I can't imagine leaving her everyday with someone else to do my job. I am not very good at it-probably most days, but I love it and everyday I can try to be better than the day before.

How I live my faith

I am currently working with the 8-11 year old girls in my ward. I work with three other women and we plan activities to teach them life skills and build their self esteem. I look forward to attending services every Sunday. My daughter and I have Family Home Evening on Sunday nights, we sit down and sing a song and have a short lesson about our beliefs.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Melissa Aimee
Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. We believe he was called as a Modern Day prophet just like we Believe that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet today. I served a mission in Upstate New York and had thee amazing oppurtunity to see some of the places he was. I love and appreciate Joseph Smith for all that he did and all that he went through to bring the Book Of Mormon to the world but I do not worship him. I worship my Savior Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
