Hi I'm Aaron

I've lived in Calgary AB all my life. I'm a graphic designer with a family I love. I enjoy skateboarding and snowboarding.

About Me

Husband, Father of 3 Boys & 1 Baby-Girl, Graphic Designer; I Enjoy Logos, Ambigrams & T-Shirts. I try to skateboard, snowboard and what ever my kids are excited about. I hope to read more of the classics I've yet to read.

Why I am a Mormon

Besides the personal evidences that many would simply discount as anecdotal or delusional, I continue to exercise faith in the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ because of the consistent effect it has on my mind and heart to do that which is good. I tell my kids that the "Book of Mormon helps dad to be a good guy instead of a bad guy". I've yet to find a source of peace, perspective and hope to compare with the Plan of Happiness as taught by Prophets of God; all of whom point to the Savior Jesus Christ. Depending on your definition of a "Christian", I may or may not qualify however I know Christ knows me and I know He knows how much I have staked on His willingness to back me up. I've found no place as powerful to soak in Christ's teachings as in the pages of The Book of Mormon. You will never actually know for your self if Joseph Smith is a true Prophet or not if you don't actually test the merits of The Book of Mormon. I've found that exercising faith despite not having complete knowledge still produces unmatched long term effects. Stop worrying about your friends, family, preacher, the savvy pundits and popular celebrities; at judgement it's just you and the Lord and I assert (as does the Prophet Moroni 10:27) that He will inquire about your reasoning either way about this supposed "Another Testament of Jesus Christ", whether it is of God or "... whether I speak of myself." (John 7:17)

How I live my faith

I'm currently the financial clerk in our ward so I spend time in front of the computer. I think there is a difference between faith and exercised faith; tithes and offerings is a place where the rubber hits the road. I'm not currently in possession of as many answers as I'd like (far from), but I continue to observe good 'Fruit' in my life as I allow some of my time to be spent in service and to exercise faith in my Maker. I'm grateful for God's mercy on my behalf and feel obliged to offer my imperfect best efforts in service where it may be required.
