Hi I'm Liel Albert Torres

About Me

I am from the Philippines. I'm in college in Hawaii right now. Loves the outdoors, music and good food. I love playing the flute and the penny whistle. I especially love Mack Wilberg's arrangements of beautiful songs.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8. My parents were converts to the Church. I have received a peaceful feeling, a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Church that Jesus organized when he came to earth has been brought back or restored. This is God's kingdom on the earth. I love the gospel, it brings me happiness. It is the plan of happiness. Families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I go to a singles's ward. I love home teaching. Home teaching is going together with a companion once a month to an assigned family or individual to share a brief gospel message and to help them out with whatever they need. I also served a mission in Bacolod, Philippines where I taught and baptized some of my brothers and sisters who were looking for the truth.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Liel Albert Torres
We believe that after death, a person's spirit separates from his body and goes to a place called the spirit world. There he will wait for the Final Judgment. After the Final Judgment, we will be assigned to a Kingdom of Glory depending on our faithfulness to the gospel and to the Lord. The highest glory is called the Celestial Kingdom where we could be with God our Father and our faithful family members forever and ever. Show more Show less
