Hi I'm Michelle

I currently reside in Memphis. I have been Mormon since I was 12.

About Me

I am a married mom of 4(ages 19, 14, and 5)...I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and then creating scrapbooks of those times. I also enjoy most other crafts (needlework, crochet, card making) as well as geneaology and online message boards and groups. I work full time in a hospital and part time in a grocery store.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized in Jan 1996 when I was 12, along with the rest of my family. We had gone to visit friends the previous Thanksgiving; they were taking discussions at that time with the missionaries, and my parents and they stayed up talking about the church and what they had learned thus far. When we came home, my parents called the local missionaries and we started taking the discussions as a family. I'll admit my testimony came later, and I probably joined then because my family did, but it has never felt wrong to me. It has always been right, it has always been an integral part of my life and I have never regretted it. My testimony only gets strengthened with each passing day...I have faltered; I have made less than wise decisions, but I know my Heavenly Father is always there, is always available to me and continues to bless me each and every day. I am Mormon because this is what I believe in my heart, in my soul, in my very being.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in our congregation..I am the secretary in the presidency of the women's organization. I love it...it helps me meet and get to know the members. My 19 yr old no longer lives at home, but my two sons do and attend church as well. My 14 yr old attends events with the youth, and my 5 yr old loves his children's classes and activities. I also have a writing route for the visit teaching program, in which I send a note or message of some sort each month to sisters who do not attend church.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is the womens organization of the church. It is the oldest organized women's group in existence in the United States. The Relief Society consists of all adult female members/visitors of the church. Even the sisters that are unable to attend Sunday meetings (due to teaching other classes, etc) belong to the Relief Society. It is an awesome group, in any congregation, because the collaboration of young and not so young offers many different experiences, opinions and viewpoints. The knowledge is vast; the spirits are strong. Show more Show less
