Hi I'm Kalenn Marie K.

I am a mom of two sons and two daughters. I grew up in the DC area. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love natural childbirth, reading, photography and am learning to grow things in my backyard. I love to travel with my hubby. My favorite place I have been to is Venice, Italy. I married my best friend. I graduated from college. I find great fulfillment in being a mother. I have a happy life, filled with prosperity, creation, and accomplishment.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a strong Mormon home. As my parents taught me about Jesus Christ, i found that I believed it very easily from the beginning. I believe that God does reach out to his children and can communicate with us by way of the Holy Ghost, through thoughts and feelings. As a child, I prayed to know if the church was true, and I felt such a powerful peaceful, loving feeling in my heart, i knew that it was. I find such joy in knowing where I come from, where I am going, and that I have a purpose here on earth. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that if I continue to do my best to follow his commandments and repent when I do wrong, that I will be able to come into his presence some day. This year my husband and I took a trip to the Holy Land. I have been where Jesus walked, I have been where he was born, where he ministered, and where he died and was resurrected. I have felt the Spirit in that place and it confirmed to me that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he lived, and that he still lives. I know he is there for me and that I will meet him face to face someday.

How I live my faith

I pray every day to my Father in Heaven. I see how he touches my life and the lives of my family. I worship every Sunday, and I help out with church programs and newsletters. I try to be Christlike to everyone I meet. I teach my children that God loves them and that he wants us to love others.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Kalenn Marie K.
Mormon women are like other women. They have families, jobs, are single, married, divorced, and are trying to do their best in this world. Mormons believe in the sanctity of marriage, and that husbands and wives should help each others as equal partners. We believe that motherhood is sacred, and an amazing experience. We believe that families continue in the next life; therefore, families are very important to us. We don't believe that being a mother is demeaning in any way; it is important to give children of our God a good home and a good moral compass as they come into this world. I chose to give birth to my children, and I am teaching them good principles of the gospel, including the ability to know for themselves what is right and true. Show more Show less
