Hi I'm Maria

I'm a very happy Mormon.

About Me

My name is Maria and I am a new mom! I graduated in elementary education at a university, worked as a part time aide for a year at a school, and now I get to be a stay at home mom. I love taking my daughter for walks in the stroller, making her smile, and spending time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

As I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ found in the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I am happy. It brings joy to my life to know where I came from and where I am going after I die. Because I know these things I find joy in little moments of everyday life, and can find joy and see beauty around me every day. I also live the teachings of the Latter-Day Prophets and have found that living the standards I am taught that I am truely happy. I also know that families can be together forever and we can see each other even after we die, and more than anything I want that for my family.

How I live my faith

I work with the 12 and 13 year-old girls. I teach them about the gospel on Sundays and on Tuesday nights we have fun activities. We try to plan Tuesday activities that will help the girls develop or work on their talents, serve others, and help them come closer to God. We like the girls to help plan the activites too!

What is the Relief Society?

It is an organization for women. It is wonderful because it gives women a chance to unite together and serve other people around them. It is for all women over age 18. I have found that because we are different ages and have various talents and hobbies we can each teach each other. I love learning from all the women, talking to them, and finding friends of all ages. There is a church meeting on Sunday, and activities during the month for Relief-Society aged women.
