Hi I'm Whitney LaRee

I'm a wife. I'm a mom. I'm a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I have been married for two years, and have a baby boy. Finishing school after having him was realy hard, but so worth it. I love nursing, and being able to serve people in thier greatest times of need. I moved around a lot growing up so I was able to see the church in many stages across the country. I have also been fortunate enough to spend time in Russia, Romania, Nigeria, and Kenya. I have learned that no matter where you go, the church is always true. I work at the local university and am busy learning how to be a wife and mother. I enjoy photography, music, sports, and anything outdoors. I love to read books about American history.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been really blessed to be born into a strong, active family. I have also been blessed with the spiritual gift of faith. With this faith, I have never really questioned the truthfulness of this gospel. After I was baptized, when I was eight, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost. I remember feeling something so different, I could not hold back tears. I know now that that was the Spirit. To me the Spirit feels like overwhelming peace and happiness. Like I am being wrapped up in the warmest, coziest blanket. All I want to do is hold really still and enjoy it.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, but I strive everyday to be better, and live a life that allows the Spirit to always be there. I am active in my ward and love me calling as a nursery leader. I work together with my husband, to make our home a refuge from the world for our son.
