Hi I'm Joel
I'm a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I'm a research engineer working in the automotive industry. I'm married and have two young children. I love spending time with my family and working on cars and home improvement projects.
Why I am a Mormon
I was blessed to be born into a family that has a long history in the Mormon church. My parents were faithful members of the church and taught me and my siblings by example. I love my parents and have always been impressed by their faith and character, especially through adversity. As I have gone through different periods in my life, and most recently as I have been blessed with a family of my own, I have developed my own personal witness of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I know personally that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I also realize that being active in my church is important because there is so much good we can do for others. I have been blessed very much in my life and God has given me so much that i can share with others. Being Mormon means that we can help each other live the gospel. I am so impressed by my fellow church members that give so much of their time and means in serving others. I strive to be like them and share the light of the gospel with others.
How I live my faith
I regularly attend church meetings with my family here in our area. I have the opportunity to work closely with our local ward bishop as he ministers to members of our congregation. I try to set an example of living a Christ-centered life by being honest and generous with others, whether in my community or in my workplace. I am committed to my family and I know that the gospel brings us great peace and happiness. Being a good husband and father can be a challenge, but I try to put the needs of my family first. I know that there is a lot of power in family relationships, and strengthening those relationships through communication, love, and commitment represents the gospel of Jesus Christ in action. I live my faith by striving to improve myself and my family relationships, and striving to set an example of faith for others. I know that I will not be perfect in everything, but the gospel brings redemption from our mistakes and gives us the power to improve.
