Hi I'm Dave Eldredge

About Me

My greatest desire, next to being with my wife and family is playing the piano. Both my parents play. My father plays more Bach and my mother played more Beethoven. I have only started seriously playing the piano over the past few years and now teach 9 students. With work and family commitments, I do not have the time to practice like I want. I run a business, NALTIC Industrials, currently consulting with KitCo and University of Utah composite laboratory on modifications to an aging fleet of military T38s. I enjoy hiring students as interns and giving them opportunities to work in a growing international business. I love my wife dearly, Shelly, she has a pure heart of gold and is so easy to love and she loves me and our children dearly.

Why I am a Mormon

My paternal grandfather who is still alive, remembers his grandfather, Elnathan Eldredge, Jr. who came in to the Salt Lake Valley in Sept of 1847. He and his father Elnathan Sr. and family joined the church in Barnstable, MA and became some of the very first Mormon Pioneers. Elnathan Sr's grandfather told some Protestant Ministers whom he had welcomed into his home that the true church of Christ was not on the earth, that it had been lost. He said, but it will be restored and placing his hand on Elnathan said, this young man will yet live to see the true gospel restored in its fullness. This prophetic statement was indeed fulfilled. This is one of many reason I am a Mormon. I have been taught by generations of early pioneer ancestors and learned of their faith and sacrifice. Yet, the number one reason I am a Mormon is because the Holy Ghost has witnessed to the very depths of my heart, sole and mind, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's fully restored gospel on the earth today. This testimony came from reading the Book of Mormon for the very first time when I was 17 years old and since then I have read it now more that 35 times through out my life. It is a most powerful witness of God's love for his children and teaches the doctrines of Christ in plainness and purity.

How I live my faith

I believe in modern prophets and strive to follow the teachings taught by them. One of these modern and living prophets is Thomas S. Monson. I met him personally when I was about 15 at a small town Cafe in Charleston, UT where he and his wife frequented. He shook my hand and asked if I was preparing to serve a full-time mission. Of coarse, I said "Yes!" And I did. I spent 2 years teaching and searching out those who would be taught in the New Zealand Christchurch mission.

What is faith?

Please read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. You cannot learn faith in Jesus Christ any faster and better than doing that. Show more Show less
