Hi I'm Richard

I enjoy travel, I drive for a living and live in our motorhome with my beautiful wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the East Riding of Yorkshire and moved to Cornwall over 30 years ago. I enjoy travel and work P/T as a bus driver taking children to school. My wife and I lived on St Michaels Mount for 15 years where I worked as a Boatman & Guide taking visitors around the castle and greeting visitors from around the world. I have travelled throughout Europe with my wife in our motorhome and also been involved with taking various forms of humanitarian aid to countries such as Kosovo & Bosnia. I drive locally for Age Concern as a volunteer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in Jesus Christ and from an early age my parents always believed that I would join a church but this came about in a way that to me was unbelievable. It came about after a very difficult period and I ended on my knees asking for the Lords help when I could not cope any longer and from that day everything fell into place. In short, I found somewhere to live for myself and my children, I met my beautiful wife and then 6 Elders knocked on our door. I could not have believed or planned this story. After 6 months of learning about the restoration and attending church also attending other churches to search out the truth, I received a very powerful testimony through the Holy Ghost of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, I could not deny it. I know this is the Lords kingdom restored to the earth prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ, I have had numerous witnesses of the divinity of this great work and especially through my work in the Temple of the Lord.

How I live my faith

I try to be aware of other peoples needs and like to help where ever I can. I serve as the Ward Mission leader and I have always loved sharing the beauties of the Gospel. My wife and I have served in the London Temple and love to return as often as possible.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Like Alma I have tried to nourish the seed that was planted at my baptism and through this I have increased my understanding and belief in my Saviour. Show more Show less
