Hi I'm David

I'm a Bioinformaticist, love fixing things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a bioinformaticist. It's a biologist turned computer programmer. I work for a company that builds software. I am newly married (4 months as of writing) and my wife and I are thinking about going back to school so I can get a JD/MBA. We're also planning on having kids soon. It's both exciting, and a little nerve-racking. But we've seen both our parents do a really good job, and are not afraid.

Why I am a Mormon

I simply know deep in my heart that it is true; that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, and that He lives. Sometimes you know something is going to happen or that something is the way things are, even when you have no solid evidence for it. It's not something highly influenced by outside experiances, its something on the inside. That feeling (it feels like a deep, flooding peace) comes to me often as I read the scriptures, pray, go to church, and serve in the church. My conversion is a lot like a science experiment. I am a member of the church because everything I've ever done

How I live my faith

I try to set the needs and wants of my wife above my own. I also try to serve others. I donate to the poor and pay my tithing. I love the law of tithing, by the way. I visit two families in my ward (neighborhood) at least once a month, sharing a spiritual thought, asking if they need help with anything, and shooting the breeze. I like taking care of my families.
