Hi I'm Pete

I'm a fortunate husband and father, and member of the LDS Church.

About Me

I've lived in New York, Texas, Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. I've traveled to four continents, shopped in Fez, parasailed in Tunisia, eaten caviar in Moscow and would love to visit my namesake and great-grandfather's stomping grounds in Italy. I work in marketing and public relations and travel to consult and speak about corporate communications and social media. I have an MBA and am Accredited in public relations. I use Internet tools like websites and social media to engage in brand journalism. I was in my first musical at age 5 and have loved musical theater ever since. In college I traveled and toured with a musical theater performing group for three wonderful years. I'm a former singing gondolier at The Venetian in Las Vegas and, when I can find the time, I continue to enjoy singing in church services and community theater. I’m proud to be an Eagle Scout. I love the outdoors, woodworking and staying active. My awesome wife and I have two great kids who are full of life. We enjoy living in South Jordan, Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned in grade school that we have apostles today just like when Jesus walked the earth. I developed faith in their words and grew to understand and love Jesus Christ for all He has done and made possible for me. I believe that by living a life similar to what Jesus taught, I can achieve my greatest potential in every one of my responsibilities.

How I live my faith

I strive to be honest, a person of integrity. I believe in kindness, humility and virtue. I work at bringing a peaceful, joyful feeling into my home and family member's lives. I show love for my wife and children and those around us - family, friends and acquaintances - through service and striving to be a good person. Through my actions I hope to show the importance of respect and tolerance, and most importantly to develop faith in Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of faith.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our Heavenly Father. He created this earth for us to experience mortality and learn to develop faith in Him and His son, Jesus Christ. God loves me, much like my earthly father, only perfectly. God is love. My Heavenly Father wants the best for me and blesses me with opportunities - and challenges - that help me become a better person. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

I devoted two years of my life to serving a full-time mission in Utah and Idaho I was happy to leave college and focus on serving others for a couple years. My own savings and my parents funded my mission, about $350 each month. It was up to me to budget my money to pay for things like rent, clothing, transportation and food. Show more Show less
