Hi I'm Leeann

I am a happy wife and stay at home mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a wonderful family. My father was in the Marine Corps, so we had the privilege of living in many different places. My parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). They taught me so many things about being a good person and following the teachings of Jesus Christ. As I grew I naturally desired to know for myself the things of God. I studied my scriptures carefully and prayed often for guidance. I learned that my Father in Heaven is always watching over me. He is real, and through prayer I can communicate with him freely. He loves all his children and desires for each of us to reach out to each other, love and help each other selflessly as our Savior did. In time I married a wonderful young man that was also in the Marine Corps. He shared my faith. I can only describe our marriage as blissful. We are best friends. I admire him in every way. He is fun, outgoing, friendly, and always true. Not to mention incredibly handsome:) He is currently a middle school teacher. We have eleven children ages 4-14 (a couple sets of twins). We have 9 boys and 2 girls. It is an amazing thing to be part of a large family. I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I absolutely believe that this church operates under the direction of Jesus Christ. It is organized just as he organized his followers anciently. No one is paid to serve in the church. Our bishops, clergy, all of the teachers, music directors, etc. serve for free. They do not ask for the assignments but are asked to serve. They all have other careers and obligations but give freely of their time. They, like I, serve in the church because we believe we are called of God, not for position, but because he has asked us to. The blessings that come from that type of service are immeasurable and better than any paycheck. I also love that I can go anywhere in the world and the church is the same. It feels exactly the same even if I don't understand the language I feel the same spirit. There is a great unity and consistency throughout the church world wide.

How I live my faith

My faith is why I am who I am and I do what I do. Every decision I make, how I spend my time and energy, even how I spend my money all comes back to the things I believe. God and Family are definitely my top priorities. The greatest contributions I can make in this world will be in my family. I have many interests, and involvements, but I feel my family is where I will have the greatest impact on the world. I believe in being a clean and decent person. I believe in supporting a good cause. I believe in making my country great by raising children whose moral character can match the great men and women who have gone before us.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES! We believe in God, the Eternal Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ is our exemplar and the only way back to the presence of the Father. He is at the center of every thing we do in the church. Show more Show less
