Hi I'm Jeremy

"I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints"

About Me

I'm a family man dedicated to my wife and kids, a recent college graduate (finally!), a customer service specialist and co-dreamer of the grand dream to provide educational support to all, regardless of ability or so-called disability.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or a disciple of Jesus Christ, both because I feel the Lord has called me to be so, and because I have chosen this path. It's not easy, and I ain't perfect, but because of what my Savior Jesus Christ has done for me in His Atonement, I feel the need to go onward to make all He has and will do for me worth it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ not only because I was baptized at the age of 8, but because I choose to keep that commitment. I know through the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon is His word and that this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Christ makes me a moral and honest person, provides safety and refuge from evil and keeps my sanity in this crazy, zany world!

How I live my faith

Every day, striving and trying to become more and more like Jesus Christ, and looking for opportunities to serve others.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

First, BELIEVE! Believe there is a Father in Heaven, and that He loves and cares for you. And if you have a hard times believing, "even if ye can no more than DESIRE to believe, let this desire work in you..." Alma 32:27 until you can believe. Then, read the scriptures and listen for the quiet whisperings of His spirit. Then, gather up the courage, take a deep breath and PRAY: speak directly to your Father, believing He is there. Continue this over and over again, "wash, rinse, repeat" until you feel your Father near, and then you can begin to know Him more and more. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The main reason is our belief in another set of sacred scriptures, The Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel as given to the ancient peoples of the Americas, just like the Bible contains the Gospel as given to the inhabitants of Israel. Mormon is also the name of the principle collaborator of the Book of Mormon, like Moses was for the first five books of the Old Testament. Otherwise, Mormon is simply a nickname that has stuck to us: for better and for worse! Show more Show less
