Hi I'm Nathan Lee

I am a Mormon middle school teacher, and I love Jesus Christ.

About Me

Born the second of six children, I love to play basketball, tennis, go hiking and gardening. I graduated with a composite bachelors degree in Information Systems/Business Education. I teach computer, career, and business classes in a middle school. I love working with and learning about the wonderful children in middle school. It has been fun to watch these young adults learn and grow during those critical years of middle school.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents and grand parents were faithful members of the Mormon Church; I gained a firm testimony when I was called to serve a full time prosalyting mission to Brazil Belo Horizonte. Until then I suppose that I believed the Church was true, and I went with the flow of the culture I was raised in, but when I was called to serve a mission, I found out for myself. I remember making the choice in the MTC to always be completely honest in all that I say and do, and to give to the Lord all I am. That choice has guided me through my years since that time. In the mission field I began to understand the great spiritual power contained in the scriptures; the book of mormon, and the bible. It was in the mission field that I gained an understanding and appreciation for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and trully how he has loved, and watched over my life, and watches over everyones life. I felt the spirit penitrate my heart on many occasions, and I knew that heavenly father has a plan for our mortal lives, and he had entrusted me with a great responsibility to preach the Gospel, the truth in all honesty. I am greatful for my membership in the Church, and I know that it is true, and what a blessing it can be to so many people.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures each day, and strive to do my very best when I am called upon to serve in the church. Serving in the church has been a wonderful experience. Each calling has added something special to my life. They have helped me grow and develop new tallents, and have deepened my understanding of the Gospel, and it's doctrines. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Nathan Lee
The Word of Wisdom is a blessing really, a commandment which addresses the wise use of our physical bodies. We have been given these bodies by our Heavenly Father and they are intended to give us earthly experience and growth. There is so many wonderful things we can experience because of our bodies. The Word of Wisdom is a commandment which provides Heavenly Fathers guidance as to how we care for our bodies. It it we receive warnings and instruction as to the wise use of our bodies and what substances are good, as well as some that can harm our bodies. It's truly a great blessing we have been Given by our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Nathan Lee
Through a series of tender mercies miracles I found my lovely companion. She and I didn't know it yet, but everything worked out the following year and we were sealed in the St. George, Utah Temple. The St. George Temple had become a special place to me as I had walked within it's walls many times before. My lovely wife was baptized a member of the church in Canada only a few years before. Exercising great faith she left her family came to Utah, and after nearly completing her degree at BYU we met and we were sealed. We felt a wonderful peaceful feeling as we were sealed together for time and eternity. As I have reflected upon the covenant we have made to each other, and to the Lord, nothing is of greater value to me. If I had it my way all marriage ceramony's would include the commitment of forever, for with that comes added strength to endure and overcome the trials that present themselves in marriage. To think a marriage can only last for time or until death do we part, is so unmerciful, and would be a source of great anxiety to two people who trully love each other. It is a wonderful blessing found only in the church Jesus Christ has restored the Gospel and given men power and authority to seal or marry families in temples, and families can, and many will, live together in heaven forever. This doctrine has added so much peace and happiness to my life, and it has been a source of great strength to my family, and our commitment to live good lives.  Show more Show less
