Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a cancer nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nurse at a cancer hospital. I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, but I had to decide for myself early on that what my parents taught me was the truth. As a cancer nurse, I see a lot of human suffering and it's easy to wonder why God allows these things to happen. My faith reassures me that God has a plan for each of us and that this life on earth is small part of our eternal existence. We lived with God before we were born and we will return to Him after we die. God's goal for us is to be united as families forever. God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to live on earth to not only pay for our sins, but to experience all pain and hardship so that He can help us through our hard times as well. This knowledge keeps me going and allows me to give others hope in the face of extreme suffering and pain.

How I live my faith

I try to treat others the way Jesus Christ would. I read the Bible and Book of Mormon and pray every day. I visit women that are assigned to me by my church leaders and help them with their challenges. I play the organ every Sunday for our worship services as a volunteer. I try to be honest in everything I do.
