Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a son and brother, a professional, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ryan. I am 25 years old, and I recently graduated from college with a Bachelors of Science, business management. I love NASCAR. I go running, not exactly because I enjoy it, but I do like the benefits and the way it makes me feel after I run. I also enjoy doing family history. Recently, I embarked on my boyhood dream by starting my career as a licensed life and health insurance professional.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. Both of my parents converted to the church, my father as a child, and my mother as a young adult. I've always gone to church, but as I've grown up I've come to find out for myself that the things taught to me as a child by parents and leaders are true. One episode from my life that helped me gain a testimony was when I was 16, I had the opportunity to spend a week in Utah for a youth conference. In the evening time, when I was alone with my roommate, we took the time to read Joseph Smith History. It is his story in his own words, and as I read the Holy Ghost witnessed to me that Joseph Smith did in fact see God the Father, and Jesus Christ. I love the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. It takes work, but underlying everything, I know that I am a son of God, and He loves me, and wants the best for me, so He sent His Son, that I could return to His presence with my loved ones.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a member of a young single adult congregation, I am able to help with the local congregation's finances. This strengthens my testimony as I see so many faithful members donate so much of their resources, such time, talents, and treasure.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

When the missionaries come, they will discuss with you how you are a child of God, and how He has established a pattern of teaching His children of how to return to His presence. They will discuss how Jesus Christ established a church during His earthly ministry and that over time that church was lost, but it has been brought back to the earth in these days. The missionaries will provide you a way to know what they have shared is true, through prayer and reading the Book of Mormon, which is an another testimony of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
