Hi I'm Ami

I grew up in Idaho. I was baptized when I was 9. I am a Mormon and I am proud of it.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children. My oldest daughter has been married for over 2 years. My oldest son is serving a mission in Texas, Fort Worth. I have two other sons who are still living at home and going to school. I have too many hobbies such as sewing, painting, writing, scrapbooking, photography, organizing, cleaning, playing with my grand-baby. I am a free-lance photographer for a local paper. I also enjoy running, biking, and yoga.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the church, but never was active. My parents were not active members either. I graduated from high school and attended college in another town. It was during that time I realized something was missing in my life. I was very unhappy, and couldn't imagine the rest of my life feeling like that. I prayed and knew that it was time to put my life in order and find out what the LDS church was about. I decided I would devote myself to my Heavenly Father and become a better person. I started to attend all of my church meetings, prayed more often, and studied the scriptures. I met my husband, we were married in the temple a year after my conversion. There are still bad days, but I have a lot more happy days. I have hope and joy in my life. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I have a savior who atoned for my sins. I am grateful for the restored church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I teach the 14-15 year olds Sunday school. I love teaching this age. Teaching Sunday school is a daily job. I am always studying and praying so that I may teach these children what the Lord knows is best. I enjoy studying the gospel. There is so much to learn, I can never get enough. At home we say a family prayer every night. In the mornings, we read the scriptures. On Mondays, as a family we spend time together. I always try to give them an inspirational thought.
