Hi I'm Neal

I know Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He's my Savior and I aspire to follow His example of charity and service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the beauty of the Earth and I'm grateful to be living in such a wonderful part of it. I'm an ecologist and a naturalist, but I don't consider myself an environmentalist. I'm a teacher and pretty soon I'll be a PhD. I like to watch college football, and when my body was less fragile, I loved to play the game too. I'm the oldest of several children, and now I'm married with several children. My family brings indescribable joy to my life. I like to cook, and I like to eat what I cook. I can pack a 3-bedroom house into a 17-foot moving truck, a one-bedroom apartment into a pickup truck, and 357 lines in Tetris. I like to tinker with things; take them apart to see how they work, and put them back together to see if they still do.

Why I am a Mormon

Okay, okay; I was born into a Mormon family. But that's not why I remain a member of the church. I'll add more later.

How I live my faith

My local congregation is small, but the needs of the church and the community are great. I get to know my neighbors and help them all the time. I pay a tithe to build up the church, in addition to other offerings to help the community. I stop for stranded motorists. I give panhandlers money or food. I volunteer. I help. My family assists the full-time missionary effort by donating our time and means to the missionaries and those they teach, and inviting others to learn more about what we believe in; namely, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism by immersion, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. We believe we are all children of a loving Father in Heaven, that earthly families should ideally be modeled after His family, and that family relationships persist forever.
