Hi I'm Chris Williams

I'm a father, musician, tech geek, triathlete, and an avid skier, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 8 and adore my family. I love music, enjoy technology and work in the high tech industry. I love to ski, especially when the powder is deep. I love to mountain bike, run, play tennis, hike and wakeboard at the lake.

Why I am a Mormon

The word Mormon literally means "more good". There are many tremendous religious groups in the world, all striving to make people better, but I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as the 'Mormons', to take advantage of the additional truths that Mormons believe, that 'more good'. For example, we believe that the heavens are not closed, and that God, our Father in Heaven speaks to his children today just as he did anciently, and that he leads his people collectively through a Prophet, just as he did anciently. I figure if he spoke to Moses and his people, why wouldn't he speak to me and mine today? I know he does - and that's 'more good' that I can have in my life today! That's just one of many reasons that I love being known as a Mormon. I hope the way I live my life brings 'more good' into the lives of those who know me so they can have greater faith, greater hope and feel of the love of God.

How I live my faith

I try to have a peaceable walk among all men, practicing what Emerson observed, that "every man is in some way my superior". I've been a lay minister over a congregation of about 450 people. Currently I volunteer with my sons in the local Scouting organization.
