Hi I'm Darryl

I try to make room in my heart for all of God's creations. I love to be with my wife, our kids & grandkids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Utah native now living with my sweetheart in Arizona and am a proud husband, father, son, brother, and frend to man and all of Gods creations. We are so blessed to be able to spend time with our children and especially our grandchildren. It is awsome to live only a short drive from lakes and rivers where we can sail a hobi-cat or slip a kyak into the river for some fun with the kids. Plus, gazing out the window and seeing palm trees makes me feel like I am on vacation every day! I find satisfaction in being able to continue working past the "usual" retirement age because of the people I get to work with. They are selfless, honest and trustworthy, good friends; which makes my job almost not seem like work.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had a strong conviction that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father who knows me, cares for me and is is ever willing to help and bless me. His love for me is so great that He sacrificed His "only begotten" Son for me. This sure knowledge has been further substantiated through the example of my own loving, serving parents. Throughout my life they demonstrated the value of hard work, sharing, and selfless sacrafice. But they also respected my decisions, and showed unconditional love when my decisions resulted in less than favorable outcomes, which is another way of saying they stood by me when I messed up. Just like my Savior, Jesus Christ stands in for me before the Father, taking upon him self all my grief, pain, sins and sorrows. Another way I know my Savior is there for me always is by his word which comforts me through daily reading in the scriptures, especially the Bible and the Book of Mormon. And it is cofmorting to know He still speaks through living Prophets today. Again, the sure knowledge God loves me is evident in his continued revelations for all his children.

How I live my faith

I delight in finding opportunities to help make a difference. This might be at work where I can listen and try to understand issues, or with friends and family where sometimes just doing what needs to be done without being asked makes me feel my day is more complete. The plight of a stray animal always touches my heart. I learned this special love from my wife who always jumps right in and rescues the strays, takes them to the vet for shots and to get them fixed and then finds homes for them. Opportunities to be of service are all around and no one ever need know how they were blessed; that is really just between them and our Lord.
