Hi I'm Russell John

About Me

Married with a baby boy. Work in hospital administration.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong belief that God lives. This belief has motivated me to study the scriptures and seek the Holy Spirit throughout my life. I have felt that Spirit as I have studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon and the Church. My faith grows each day as I seek to draw closer to God and understand His will through the scriptures and words of the living prophet. I am tremendously grateful for the spiritual and social strength the organization of the church provides to my family.

How I live my faith

I currently volunteer time each Sunday as the finance clerk for our church group. I reconcile church financial statements and manage donations and expenses. I try to strengthen my faith each day through study, prayer, and service.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Russell John
The promise (Moroni 10: 3-5) given by the last prophet in the Book of Mormon describes how one may know The Book of Mormon is true. The promise says if one reads the book and asks God in faith if it is true, the Holy Ghost will testify of its truthfulness. The Holy Ghost speaks to us through feelings and impressions that instill in us the will of God. When one knows the Book of Mormon is true, a testimony of Joseph Smith, the restoration of Christ's church, and the living prophet will come the same way. I add my testimony that God lives and will answer the sincere prayer of faith. Recognizing the Holy Ghost in one's life is the key to gaining answers to prayers. Show more Show less
