Hi I'm Stacey

I am the mother of 3 children, a substitute teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 wonderful kids. I am married to my college sweetheart-25+ years now! I am a substitute teacher in the public school system. I love people (especially teenagers), music, and photography. I enjoy cooking and eating delicious food. I love my family and I LOVE being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always felt a closeness to God, and that He has a personal interest in me. I love being a Mormon because this feeling is reinforced and strengthened through my participation in church activity. As I become more mature (better than saying "age"), I come to realize that my Spirituality has become a huge strength as I face challenges. I love the teachings of the Gospel, and especially love the joy and peace the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to me.

How I live my faith

I do not drink alcohol, tea, or coffee. I do not use tobacco. I pay 10% of my income to the Lord as tithing. These are standards which people are curious about. I follow these commandments as a way to show my love and gratitude to God, and to bring my heart closer to Him. I study the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and I attend church services. These activities help me to better understand life and my purpose here. Each day I try to live by following the example of Jesus Christ. I try to treat others as He would. I am thankful that when I make mistakes, I can repent and try again. The grace of Jesus Christ makes that possible.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Stacey
Grace is a beautiful and powerful doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered and died for us on the cross. Because of this, we have access to His Grace: his Atoning Power. Grace is the power to do things, through Jesus, that we couldn't do alone such as being forgiven of our sins and mistakes. It includes enduring sickness, hardship, and mistreatment from others. It also includes overcoming weakness we have and becoming better people. As we strive to live God's teachings, we are able to recognize how His Grace is active in our lives; we are able to see how God makes us into more than we can be without His Grace. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13) Show more Show less
