Hi I'm Kristen

I am a down-to-earth woman. Lover of the Spanish language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My love affair for Spanish began in junior high school. And spurred on in to college. One of my greatest dreams came true when I had the opportunity to serve a mission for the Church in Honduras. Full immersion is the best way to learn a language. I studied at Brigham Young University Idaho. My areas of focus were Spanish, Russian, and Home & Family. I enjoy volunteering time to indexing census records to help those who are seeking out their ancestry. During the day, I take care of the home, a dog, two cats and several chickens. I love to discover new birds or wildflowers in our yard. I love to spend time outside hiking, swimming, or walking our dog. I enjoy reading and watching movies made from many of Jane Austen's works.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know the truth of many things. My life has more direction, is so much more meaningful, and clearer with the gospel. I understand who I am, where I came from, why I am here, and where I hope to go one day. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I know that He suffered for me and for you. I know that through all adversity we can be made strong. It is often said that life is what happens when you are making other plans. My course in life has been trying but I know that I have become a stronger individual because of it.

How I live my faith

I serve in the women's society or group as the secretary. This entails much: monthly newsletters, recognizing birthdays, revising contact information for our women, and the list goes on. I also have the privilege to visit and share a spiritual message with a few women of various ages and circumstances each month. I strive to live my faith by strict obedience to the laws of God, and to live as Christ taught.
